The past two weeks have been quite busy for me, mostly because it has been the last two weeks of classes for the semester for me. After this weekend, I will be over half way done with my Masters in Public Health! My program is an online program through the University of New England. It’s great because I can also work full-time while going to school full-time, but that is also the downfall too (not enough time!). My classes run for 8 weeks at a time with two per semester. I generally take one class at a time, but this session I took two at a time – Healthcare Economics and Public Health Law and Ethics. I loved the economics class because I truly enjoy economics. The Law and Ethics class, on the other hand, not a huge fan and it’s been a lot of work. I just submitted my final for economics (yay!), but I have a 48 hour essay final for my Law and Ethics class that I have to do over the weekend (yuck!). After Sunday, I have a nice long month long break till I start my next semester. I plan on utilizing that time to build a better base because I start working on building my base with my coach on January 1st!

I posted my tentative 2012 schedule last month, but have since changed it. Hence, why I say tentative. My new schedule is as follows (with additions and changes in red):

Tentative 2012 schedule

Feb. – Cape Classic 10 miler

4/7/12 – Race the Runways Half-Marathon

5/5/12 – Tough Mudder VT (Not doing it – don’t want to hurt myself!)

5/19/12 – Tri for the Y

6/10/12 – Pirate Tri (Doing as a relay with a friend – only the swim portion)
6/18/12 – Patriot Half

7/8/12 – Ironman 70.3 Rhode Island (Not doing)

7/21/12 – Peaks to Portland

8/26/12 – REV3 HIM

9/23/12 – Mt Sunapee Tri (Oly or Sprint)
October – Marathon (Maybe, depending how the body feels at the end of the season)

I also got word from my coach today that I can go to Ironman Lake Placid training camp in June with her and her other athletes and another coaching group! I’m super excited about this opportunity! It’s more geared towards the athletes doing IMLP and other IMs this year, but I think it will be a great challenge for me and it allows me to preview the Lake Placid course for possible future endeavors 🙂

I have about a zillion blog posts written in my head that I will eventually get written here. I just need to wait till after I finish my finals! So check back next week!
