Why Big Sky?

During the summer of 2008 I had a once in a lifetime chance to spend the summer conducting biomedical research at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. I immediately fell head over heels with the town and the state of Montana. Bozeman is surrounded by the Bridger Mountains, the Gallatin Range, and the Spanish Peaks of the Madison Range. It is absolutely stunning year-round.

Not only was Montana one of the most beautiful places I have been, but the people, food, and beer are equally as incredible. That summer I met some of my favorite people, whom I still keep in touch with today. I have since been back multiple times to visit.

Montana has several slogans, including “The Last Best Place” and “Big Sky Country.” As you can imagine the blue sky goes on and on over the prairie in the shadows of the Rockies.

I named my business Big Sky Multisport Coaching and Personal Training for two reasons:

1. Montana or “Big Sky Country” has a very special place in my heart and always will be my home-away-from-home.

2. People often use the age-old cliché “the sky is the limit” and in sport and fitness I truly believe that the sky is the limit and as athletes we can continue to push ourselves not only to be better, stronger, and faster athletes, but better people all around.
