I work to create individualized fitness programs that are designed to meet the needs of the individual. My main focus when working with clients is to identify and correct muscle imbalances and postural deviations that individuals may have due to lifestyle choices (i.e. workplace, sport, etc). I am a strong believer in preventing potential injuries through educating clients on proper form and technique.
Every client that I work with undergoes a functional movement screening to identify muscle imbalances and weaknesses that are common in people due to lifestyle choices, such as sitting in front of a computer 8 hours a day at work. Once any weaknesses or imbalances are identified then we work together to correct those imbalances through stretching, activating, and strengthening those muscles. Each client I work with has their own unique workout based on their needs and goals. I specialize in full-body circuit-based training and bodyweight exercises.
Personal Training Services
Online Distance Training – $60/month
– This option is available for clients who do not live in the Southern Maine region. A thorough health, wellness, and fitness questionnaire is given to the potential client to determine their current health and fitness status. Workouts will be based on the clients current abilities and goals in mind. Three strength training workouts a week along with optional cardiovascular workouts will be given in a four-week block via email. Exercise descriptions and videos will be provided. Nutritional guidance is provided at no additional charge. Clients have unlimited email access.
One-on-one Personal Training – $40/hour (10% discount when purchasing 10 or more sessions)
– This option is available for clients living in the Greater Portland area (15 mile radius from Portland). We can meet at your home, office, local park, or gym. The first session will involve filling out the health, wellness, and fitness questionnaire and undergoing a functional movement screening. From there I will design an appropriate workout program for the client that will help them meet their unique needs and goals. Workouts can be designed with full gym equpiment use in mind or limited equpiment use (i.e. bodyweight exercises focused). Nutritional guidance is provided at no additional charge. Clients have unlimited email access. Clients will meet in person based on the agreed schedule by client and trainer.
Small Group Training (2-6 people) – $40/hour flat rate or $10 person (10% discount when purchasing 10 or more sessions)
– This option is available for clients living in the Greater Portland area (15 mile radius from Portland). We can meet at your home, office, local park, or gym. Small group training makes the personal training option more affordable for many and some people prefer working out with friends, family, or co-workers. The clients will each fill out paperwork and undergo a funcational movement screen. Workout sessions will be designed with the group ability level and goals in mind. All exercises will have modification options. Clients have unlimited email access.
Bootcamp or Fitness Class Option (7+ people) – $10 per person
– This option is available for clients living in the Greater Portland area (15 mile radius from Portland). Classes can be held at a location of your choice. You must make at least a 6 session committment. Participants will fill out the health, wellness, and fitness questionnaire to gauge the current activity level of participants. Classes will be designed based on participants fitness levels and interests in mind. Participants may be asked to bring basic fitness equpiment to sessions (i.e. yoga mat, weights). Participants will have limited email access to trainer.
